Turning the traditional conference model upside down

Warming up for EMOOCs 2015 with a flipped Conference MOOC.

As part of its on-going commitment to innovation in education, P.A.U. Education is co-organising EMOOCs 2015 from 18-20 May in Mons, Belgium. MOOCs are opening up new opportunities for faculty members to flip their classrooms. By bringing this principle from the classroom the conference room, EMOOCs 2015 will challenge and transform traditional conference organisation.

MOOCs are opening up new opportunities for faculty members to flip their classrooms. EMOOCs 2015 will include four tracks: Institutions, Experience, Research, and Worldwide. Six sessions will be held in the course of the three days, complemented by a keynote session every day.

As a warm up to the conference, we’re holding the The ConfX EMOOCs 2015 Open Conference — and it’s open now!

10 papers from both the Experience and Research tracks will be presented following a flip mode: authors have prepared short videos explaining their results and research questions, and will share them before the conference begins to spark thoughts and debate.

This unique flipped conference is accessible to everyone that wants to engage in public discourse around MOOCs.  You can register now and discover on-going research on MOOCs and get thinking and talking before the meeting in Mons.
